We're feeling better

We've all taken turns at being under the weather or just plain sick but that didn't stop us taking some great pictures when Chandra and family came to visit. Ari is just a cuddly bear of a baby and Meghan enjoyed spending some time with him. Unfortunately, whatever Meghan was suffering from, she shared.

We had fun and hope the Ritchie family did too!

Signs of Change

We were sitting reading books with Meghan last night and noticed that she is making the sign for "this is" so we tried some other signs with her and found that her vocabulary is developing well; she can repeat "more", "please" (blowing a kiss), "thank you", "this is", "bye" and clap. We are going to pay more attention from now on in case we are missing a conversation with our daughter.

We went to the toy store yesterday and bought a child-sized broom so she can play with it instead of the larger one but she insists on using the grown-up one. Quite an independent 13 month old!

Clean Sweep

We moved at the weekend with help from our friends who helped us unload the Pod and move furniture from the old house. Thanks Philippe, Dave, Frank, Peter!

Meghan seems to be quite house proud and even though she only been walking for 2 weeks she is know taking a broom to the floor and telling us.. something. We don't know what she is saying but it sounds japanese.

Today was Valentine's Day and Auntie Sue and Uncle Neil sent Meghan a lovely cuddly heart spotted dog! Thanks, guys!

Hello?

Hello?
Is there anybody there?

Meghan got a toy phone for Christmas and we like her playing with it.. it gives her less time to dial 911 on a real phone (she tried).

In the background, you can see her rocking duck and her little piano which she plays with when not dialling long distance.

Walking Around

Only last week, Meghan was refusing to take more than a step unsupported.. but that has all changed. Take a look at the video and see how steady and confident and happy she is.

Meghan has started a new daycare, one that is located near the office, and is missing her friends from the first daycare but is adjusting and is definitely tired and hungry at the end of the day from all the play and activities.

We stopped by at lunchtime today and watched her, along with her class, sitting on a small chair at a table and feeding herself.
