Eating Ravioli

Meghan now enjoys feeding herself and is getting quite good at it but, having developed this new skill, now wants to eat most of her food this way.

Her sign language vocabulary now includes 'happy' (both hands banging on her chest) and 'more'.

Last weekend, we took a trip to the Dallas World Aquarium which has 3-4 floor rain forest exhibit in addition to a wide variety of fish and two kinds of penguin. I think Meghan enjoyed watching the people more than the animals.

Teddy Bear

Snow fell on Tuesday and that's a fairly rare event so we dressed Meghan in warm clothes and went outside to get some pictures, not realising that it would fall again today and we would be going home early and maybe not going into work tomorrow.

Meghan is enjoying daycare now.. she has been going for about a month and this week has stopped crying when we drop her off which makes us happier about the whole thing.

She has been picking up sign language and will now sign please and thank-you when we ask. We are also trying to teach her things like where her nose is or her knee. Sometimes, she responds better to Thai and sometimes better to English.

Playing with the Phone

It's been another busy week and we are still trying to figure out where things go in the new house but its coming along. Trish and Ravi brought the family over to see the place yesterday and loved it.

Meghan had to get some proper shoes this week after she slipped a few times in her moccasins while playing outside at daycare. We went and got her a nice pair from StrideRite but they seem to to throw off her gait; she is tripping over things and gave herself a good booboo on the lip yesterday.

This morning Meghan picked up the cordless phone and, after a couple of false starts, figured out how to put it back in the base. Check out the video:

Look how happy she is at the end!
